Fursborough, on the East Coast of Australia, was the home of Richard Buxton. Born into an influential family and raised with culture; class and a good education, he is destined to be a successful and influential man in his community.

Richard sails through life with little or no hassles, until Jesus intervenes and starts to reveal a more ideal, yet more costly lifestyle. From this point on, he is challenged on every secret sin in his life, making things a little more trying than he had anticipated. He is adamant that he is in complete control of his destiny until Jesus eventually corners him and presents him with an offer he cannot refuse.

Occasionally you find strong people who appear to be a challenge, even for God. Richard Buxton is such a person. From as young as thirteen, he is mature and determined to succeed in life. He is strong in mind and body with a personality that can melt the hardest hearts, especially if that heart is a female one. His skills range from academics, to cricket, and from music to humour. Eating and drinking a little too much, are also among his skills. There isn’t much he doesn’t enjoy, and he is one very gifted and charismatic young man. With all these attributes, he finds himself on a path that clashes with God’s ideals for his life. These ideals not only clash with his plans, but also those of his friends and family.
